LOWA Dry-Athlon

Join us at TrailCon for the inaugural LOWA Dry-Athlon, a first-of-its-kind relay event that combines trail running with biathlon-style laser shooting in a fun, fast-paced competition. Created in partnership with U.S. Biathlon, this unique event brings the excitement of Olympic biathlon to the trail running community—swapping snow for singletrack and skis for trail shoes. Participation is free for all TrailCon attendees, but spots are limited.

Teams of four athletes will tackle a trail course featuring hills and natural terrain before stepping onto the laser shooting range, where steady nerves and sharp focus are just as important as speed. Missed targets result in penalties, making every shot count.

No biathlon experience is required. Participants will use safe laser rifles, with no live ammunition or real weapons involved. U.S. Biathlon coaches and athletes will be on-site throughout the event to provide instruction and support.

Whether you're competing for bragging rights, connecting with industry friends, or simply trying something new, the LOWA Dry-Athlon offers a one-of-a-kind challenge that blends endurance, precision, and team strategy.
