Experience one of Florida’s hidden gems as you race through the heart of the Nature Coast on the scenic Nature Coast State Trail. Whether you’re tackling the 100K or 50K, you’ll enjoy miles of paved trail, historic railroad corridors, river crossings, small-town charm, and the peaceful beauty that makes this part of Florida so unique.

Hosted by Combat Racing, the Nature Coast 100K & 50K is designed to challenge runners and ruckers alike while providing exceptional support from start to finish.

Free parking is available on-site at the CF campus. Please follow volunteer directions when arriving.

Course Information

The course follows the paved Nature Coast State Trail through several historic Florida communities with multiple fully stocked aid stations and a central aid hub throughout the day.

All participants have 24 hours to complete their event.

Pacers

Pacers are permitted after 12:00 PM on race day.

Pacers:
• Must check in with race staff before joining their runner.
• May enter and leave the course only at designated aid stations.
• May provide encouragement and safety support.
• May not mule gear or carry the runner’s required equipment.
• May not interfere with other participants or race operations.

Rucking Division

To be eligible for the ruck division:

• Ruck must weigh a minimum of 20 pounds (women), 20 pounds (men under 150 lbs.), 30 lbs. (Men over 150 lbs.) dry weight throughout the event.
• Dry weight does not include food, water, or other consumable items (verified at check-in).
• Weight may be checked before, during, or after the race.
• The ruck must be carried for the entire event.
• Participants must complete the full course while carrying their ruck to receive an official ruck division finish.

Aid Stations

Multiple fully stocked aid stations will provide:

• Water
• Electrolyte drink
• Snacks
• Basic first aid
• Restrooms at select locations
Please carry hydration between aid stations.

Nature Coast State Trail

The Nature Coast State Trail is one of Florida’s most scenic paved rail trails, stretching through the rural communities of Chiefland, Trenton, Cross City, and Fanning Springs. Built on historic Atlantic Coast Line railroad corridors, the trail offers smooth pavement, towering oak hammocks, pine forests, peaceful wetlands, and views of the Suwannee River region.

The area is home to abundant wildlife including deer, wild turkey, gopher tortoises, hawks, and the iconic Gulf sturgeon, making every mile a uniquely Florida experience.

Race Rules

• No steaking in and out, participants must stay on the designated course at all times.
• Obey all road crossings and volunteer instructions.
• High visibility vest required from dusk to dawn for all runners and pacers. A front facing light (headlamp, waist light, or handheld recommended)
• No littering.
• Crews may assist runners only at designated aid stations.
• Unsportsmanlike conduct may result in disqualification.
• Race management reserves the right to alter the course or aid station locations due to weather or safety concerns.

Failure to follow the rules, arguing with staff and/or volunteers, disruptive behavior, or violation of park rules and applicable laws may result in immediate disqualification.

Rollover Policy

The Nature Coast 100k does not have a refund policy. Rollover credit will be accepted on a sliding scale based on how far out from race day you complete the process.

90 days out or more = 65% credit
30-89 days out = 50% credit
10-29 days out = 35% credit
0-9 days out = No credit

Rollovers may only be used one time; you may not defer a rollover credit.
If you receive a rollover credit, you will still need to register for the race the following year. The credit is NOT an automatic entry. When you register, your credit will be waiting for you at checkout.
No other means will be accepted or acknowledged.
Refunds are not permitted under any circumstances. Please do not ask us to break our policy.
