Race Day - June 18

June 18th 2027. Packet pickup will be available from 5-00 - 5:45 am. Pre race meeting will be at 5:45am. Race start for both the 50 and 100 will be 6am. Cutoff will be Sunday at 6pm

Suggestions

Get a good night's sleep! This race extends over 2 nights and while you'll have time to nap, the vert of the course creates a tighter cutoff than you expect. Be sure to pack an extra headlamp or batteries for a second night. Extra salt is encouraged for our humid southern VA summer though the nights do get quite cool. Poles are highly suggested. Do alot of stairs or significant vert in your training! Feel free to message us at Froggy if you have questions on how to successfully fuel and pace to finish this course!

Our buckle

Both RDs at Froggy Mountain have lost loved ones who have served our country. Our 100 mile buckle pays tribute to the tenacity and fortitude of our amazing finishers, but also honors our fallen, those killed in action and those who've died by suicide, paying the ultimate price for the freedoms we enjoy and the ability we have to pursue our dreams.

Froggy Mountain 50 & 100

Come test your mental and physical endurance on our private 1 mile trail that meanders through a beautiful little mountain forest in Galax Virginia with 500 feet of climb per mile. You will have free car or tent camping for you and your crew. Both 50 & 100 mile runners have a 60 hr cutoff. Pacers are allowed after 50k. You'll have access to our rockin party aid station every mile with delicious hot food served throughout the event. 60 hrs of music and eating and party atmosphere mixed with surprisingly solitary miles in the woods, it's an experience of a lifetime!
Our mobile home Airbnb has a queen bed available for $50 a night, a King bed with private bath for $60 a night, or there are plenty of hotels or Airbnbs nearby. Be aware the main part of the house will be open for crews and runners to have access to indoor shower, flushing toilet and kitchen amenities. You can come Thursday evening and camp and/or set up your own crew station outside of the aid station. As it's a 2 night event you'll find it helpful to have your own quiet setup away from the party for naps if needed. We will have camping toilets on course and a mini second aid /water station on course. All 100 finishers will receive our beautiful custom buckle. Late registrants may have their buckle shipped after the race. 50 mile finishers will receive a Froggy medal.

You can pick up your bib and set up your camp/ crew area after 4pm Thursday the 17th.
