DNS Policy
Combat Racing’s free Fat Ass events have extremely limited capacity and typically maintain a waitlist. A runner who registers and fails to attend without notifying the race director prevents another runner from participating.
UltraSignup allows runners to withdraw up to seven (7) days before the event without receiving a DNS. Runners who need to withdraw after that time should contact the race director as soon as possible. We understand that emergencies happen, and communication is appreciated.
Runners who receive two (2) Did Not Start (DNS) results at Combat Racing free events may become ineligible to register for future free Combat Racing events. The race director may also consider a documented pattern of repeated DNSs at other free, limited-entry Florida events when determining eligibility.
Exceptions may be made at the sole discretion of the race director for extraordinary circumstances.
Support The Florida Trail:
The Florida Trail (FT) is a 1,500-mile trail that extends from the Big Cypress National Preserve at the edge of the Everglades in south Florida to Gulf Islands National Seashore on Santa Rosa Island in the Florida panhandle. The trail is used by thru-hikers, day hikers, trail runners, and for events like the one you're signing up for now!
The FT provides opportunities for recreation in some of the most beautiful and unique landscapes in Florida, and it's made possible by the work of the Florida Trail Association (FTA) and thousands of volunteer hours. FTA relies on donations from trail users like you to sustain their volunteer work. As a participant in this event that uses the Florida Trail, we encourage you to make a donation to support these efforts and ensure the trail is protected and maintained for years to come (minimum suggested donation per participant of $25) .
