ScaryAss & Fright in the Forest

Mark your calendars for another fun ScaryAss run and Fright in the Forest! Bring your costumes and friends and compete for pumpkin pie prizes for the winners and best costume!

There are three distance options:
• 25k - run Lost Valley/M&M/McKenny loop (begins at 9 am)
• 14k - Lost Valley/McKenny loop (begins at 9 am)
• 4k - Fright in the Forest perfect for kids and someone looking for a taste of trails (begins at 10 am) Kids may run free. Message us for a code.

The 25k will be a lovely single-track loop following Lost Valley, Mima West, M&M, and McKenny trails then back to Fall Creek Day Use area! The 14k will be also be a lovely, albeit shorter single-track loop. The 4k is on some mountain bike trails with "whoop de whoops" for added fun.
This low-key race does not have aid so bring what you need for water and fuel. The courses will be marked.

Race location: Fall Creek day use area

The race starts and finishes at the Fall Creek Day Use Area. You'll head into Capitol Forest from Sherman Valley Road and drive along several miles of gravel logging roads. You'll be fine in a sedan vehicle (think Prius) but you'll just have to slow down a bit.

The campground should have space available to camp Friday night before the race or you can sleep in the large parking lot.

Are dogs allowed?

Well-behaved, trail loving dogs are welcome on leash. Please clean up after your pup and be courteous of other runners.
