The Merritt Crown

The Merritt Crown: one of the toughest MTB endurance races in Canada

Steep climbs. Loose downhills. Rolling grasslands. The Merritt Crown takes riders across the Coutlee Plateau Mountain Biking Recreation Area near Merritt, BC, and doesn’t let up.

Full Crown (120 km): 120 km and 3,000 m of climbing, with a goal of finishing inside 12 hours. This is the full test.

Half Crown (60 km): The same terrain over 60 km and 1,500 m of climbing, with a few less soul-crushing climbs.

Relays (120 km): Share the Full Crown with a team. Four-person teams ride one leg each. On two-person teams, Rider 1 rides legs 1 and 2 and Rider 2 rides legs 3 and 4. Relays start with the Full Crown at 7:00 AM.

Camp on site: Camping is free on a first-come, first-served basis. Port-a-potties are provided. There are no hookups or showers, so bring your own tent and gear.

Ride for the trails: The race supports the Merritt Mountain Biking Association.

Hosted by Heads or Trails. Questions: info@headsortrails.ca
