Deadman Peaks Trail Race

The Deadman Peaks Trail Run is a deceptively hard and surprisingly beautiful high desert race near Cuba, NM. The course is on the Continental Divide Trail through the Rio Puerco Valley. The race is mostly single track with some jeep trails and has it all from sand to rocks and slick rock through rolling terrain with a few interesting hills between 6,350 and 7,400 ft. The area is very desolate, but uniquely beautiful going through Pinon Forest to Hoodoo's. There are expansive views of the high desert, badlands, mesas, mountains, and some very unique volcanic plugs, like Cabezon Peak.
The 53mile course is an out and back starting near Cuba, NM first heading South toward Cabezon Peak then returning back. This is the only event that can use a pacer from the turnaround point back to the finish line.
The 55k course takes you the same as the 53 milers but turning around at the La Ventana Remote aid station then heading back.
The 30K course takes you from the start up the mesa before dropping down to the mesa Portales aid station as your turn around point.
The 10 miler is a out and back to challenge are newest trail runners our gives the crew something to do. This event supports the CDT. Like this race on Facebook or Instagram for current information.
