We will be updating our website and Facebook pages regarding any COVID-19 concerns. We are hopeful we will be mostly back to normal by fall, but, if not, we did it once, we can pull it off again with COVID-19 protocols.
Get ready for a beautiful challenge. Runners tackle a 16.2 mile loop that’s a gauntlet of great Maine singletrack, journeying through Bradbury Mountain State Park, over Tryon Mountain, Chandler Brook, and back into Bradbury Mountain State Park. The course has tough hills, rocks, roots, and very little flat including a 1/2 mile of paved road and 1/4 mile of dirt road. With the fall foliage at it’s peak, there are sure to be many fantastic vistas along the route.
Runners taking on the Pounder 50k will run two laps earning their finishers' hoodies. Punisher runners start with a little mile loop up the mountain before running three laps of the 16 mile course.
You've got options!
A little worried about the 50 mile cut-off? Don't let that hold you back. Remember we do have a drop down option. Anytime after you have completed 2 big loops, you will have earned yourself a Pounder finisher's hoodie (of course, there will be a DNF in the Punisher). Also, there is the option of having a pacer for your final loop of the 50 miler. Pounder or Punisher, both Big Brad Ultras!
We donate a portion of your registration to the Royal River Conservation Trust. Please take a look at their website http://rrct.org/ to see all the great work they are doing to ensure there are trails to enjoy. Remember to think of them and the landowners they work with each time you're running the power lines and Elmwood trails!
