Course
Both the 5K and the Half Marathon courses are woven through the beautiful and challenging terrain of the Michaux State Forest of South Central Pennsylvania. The race is headquartered at the historic Furnace Stack within Pine Grove Furnace State Park in Gardners, PA.
The 5K course will challenge you with its rolling hills, but will bring out the kid in you as you push through rugged, muddy footing and jump through creeks.
The Half Marathon course has a little bit of everything, gentle hills and grinding climbs, swift, flat single track and wide grassy forest road, a stunning view at the top, and cold springtime creeks to traverse. It is extremely well-marked with a generous time limit for those trying out the trails for the first time, yet seriously challenging for those looking to push their limits!
