Description:
The Rhode Island Aquatic Hall of Fame invites you to swim in its fifth annual 1.2 mile open-water race. This year's event will be held at George's of Galilee Beach, Narragansett, Rhode Island. Brunch may be purchased for $10 until August 3, 2016. .
This year's event will be capped at 200 entries. RFID chip timing will be provided by New England Timing with possible multi-wave start (depending upon the numbers) to be seeded by the RIAHOF Race Committee.
Cash Prizes of $250 $100 $50 to top three overall men and women, regardless of age category, non-wetsuit division only,USA Swimming swimwear rules apply. High School or College swimmers finishing in top 3 overall places will be awarded George’s Gift Certificates of equivalent value.
Proceeds will benefit the RIAHOF Endowment and Scholarship Fund, which provides scholarships to Rhode Island high school seniors.

Adjacent to Salty Brine State Beach.There is limited free on street parking available for up to 4 hours. Parking is available at various parking lots throughout the Port of Galilee for $10.
Distance:
1.2 Miles. Open water.
One, possible two, wave start with swimmers allowed 90 minutes to complete the triangular course. Course markings include large yellow turn buoys, red directional buoys, stationary kayakers, state certified lifeguards, and safety jet ski personnel.

Non-wetsuit and wetsuit
Age Groups (3):
29 & under, 30 to 49, and 50+. All swimmers must document their ability to complete the prescribed course.
Cash Prizes
$250 $100 $50 top three overall men and women, regardless of age category, non-wetsuit division.
High School or College swimmers finishing in top 3 overall places will be awarded George’s Gift Certificates of equivalent value.
Individual Awards (8):
First male and female finisher in each age group in each category.
First overall male and female finishers who are RIAHOF inductees.
No duplicate winners.

RFID chip timing system provided by New England Timing.
Registration Cap:
The first 200 registered swimmers
Entry Fee (non-refundable):
$50 for swimmers who register online by Wednesday August 3, 2016 11:59 p.m.
$55 for swimmers who register on-site between 7:00 and 7:40 a.m. on August 6, space allowing.
T-Shirts for participants who register before July 29, 2016.
Brunch included for first 100 applications registered online before Friday, July 29, 2016. $10 after Friday, July 29, 2016.
