About the event
This course has over 9,500ft of vertical gain that sometimes can be treacherous, wild and isolated. There will be four aid stations on the course, but there could be times where there is a large distance between two. Due to this, we ask that you have completed a marathon or more to run the 100K race. As much as we would like to see all your faces at the start, we also want everyone to be safe, happy and finish. However, just like anything in life, there are always exceptions. Please email the RD if those qualifications haven't been met with a brief description about your experiences in the mountains and/or running. We love a good story.. :) And we'll work something out… The 50km and Half marathon will be open to everyone and anyone!

Winter Park is a small town in the middle of the beautiful Rocky Mountains in north central Colorado. The town, founded in the early 1900s and once went by the name Hideaway Park, was a place for people to escape the sometimes harsh reality of the world and "hideaway" in the magical, peaceful town. Winter Park is nestled in the bottom of the majestic Fraser Valley at an elevation of around 9100ft, and is surrounded by the Western Continental Divide with an elevation that tops out around 13,500ft.
Tired of big races, and ready for some down-to-earth, Hideaway 100 is a trail race in Winter Park,CO , based on the idea that through sharing and passion we can help many and discover much in ourselves. Our race will donate a portion of the proceed to various non profits including Grand County Search and Rescue...
A portion of the proceeds after race costs and awards will be donated to local and international charities..
So come on out and join in on the sharing. And THANK YOU for your interest!
