RunforAmma Charity Run to Benefit Robert Rhodes

In light of Rob's passing, the money raised from this event will be donated to cancer research at UCSF.

The RunforAmma is an annual event to help raise awareness and money to aid in cutting edge research and treatments for cancer.

We all know Rob as the affable, welcoming and supportive RD of the Bay Area trail running scene and many of us have enjoyed running the races that his company BayTrailrunners puts on and the trail stoke that he promotes with his Dirtbagger Film Syndicate and Trails in Motion film festivals that he hosts at major races like the Western States Endurance Run, Broken Arrow Skyrace, Miwok100 and other races.

100% of the registration proceeds will be donated directly to the UCSF BRCA lab in Robert's name and all race finishers will receive a commemorative race shirt honoring our local hero Robert Rhodes.

The Route

Route info can found at

Submitting your Results

Send your race result to so that we can manually upload them into ultrasignup.

:: For the single stage race, your race results must be in form of a single completed Strava activity or other gps file where we can clearly see the time from start to finish (and that you completed the race route).

:: For the multi-stage race, your race results must be in form of multiple completed Strava activities or other gps files where we can clearly see the time from start to finish (and that you covered the entire race route). Please provide any explanation that may be needed to stitch the activities together for us to validate that you in fact completed the course.

Please make sure you stop your watch right when you finish your run. Note that the “Elapsed time” on Strava will be your official finishing time.

We will have a commemorative prize for the male and female winners of both events (single and multi-stage), but what better prize than running on the very trails that Robert loves to run!
