Honoring Al Coyle
We are proud to announce the second annual Al Coyle Community 5k which will be run in conjunction with the Lake Padden Trail Half Marathon. We are honoring Al for founding the Lake Padden Trail Half Marathon five years ago, for all the hard work he has and continues to put into the race to make it the national class race it is today and for the close to $40,000 that has been donated to Rebound of Whatcom County.
Al is a man of his community and just like Al, this race will be full of energy and a whole lot of fun! Come celebrate Bellingham and stick around to watch a great race with many of the best trail runners in the country!
Description
To showcase the spirit of Bellingham and given the time of the year, the focus of this race will be on trails and fun! There will be lots of great prizes for the best costumes in various categories, see below! The course is the first part of the half marathon and starts along the scenic setting of beautiful Lake Padden before making its way up and through the forested single track trails.
