Route Description
The Gnarly Natchez route takes place at Natchez Trace State Park in Wildersville, TN. It features running on one of the best trail networks in the West Tennessee area.
This 20 mile race gives area runners and ultrarunners alike a close-to-home venue for a trail race and will showcase the tremendous natural resources of the Tennessee State Park system for visitors.
The course contains multiple uphill and downhill sections. The terrain is of moderate difficulty, providing a challenge to runners, but not too hard for first-timers.
A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Friends of Natchez Trace State Park to help raise funds to maintain the historic structures on the park as well as trail maintenance. Upon checkout, you will have the option of making an additional donation to Friends of the Park.

Cutoff Times
There will be a 2 hour 15 minute cutoff time ( 9:15 AM) at Browns Creek RD at mile 7.7 and a 4 hour cutoff time ( 11:00 AM) at mile 13.2 (Corinth RD). Finally there will be an 5 hr 30 minute cutoff time (12:30pm) at mile 17.7, (Parsons road). These are hard cut off times and all runners arriving after these times will be asked to drop. Please be respectful of race officials if you are asked to drop - no discussion. You will be provided with transportation back to the race start. This averages out to over 17 minutes per mile pace. This is not a hike so please be respectful and do not sign up for this event if you plan to walk most of the course.
Runner Limit
The 20 Mile is limited to 150 and the 10 mile is limited to 150
Kids Runs
Run Club 2 Mile Trail
Tennessee State Park Run Clubs will be running a 2 mile out and back course along the roadway at the Cub Creek lake area. The course features hills and a variety of terrain. This is a free event. Prizes will be given for the top runner for both males and females. This is a free event, provided by a Department of Health grant.
1 Mile Fun Run
Grab your friends and family and join us for a one mile FUN run! And it's free! Strollers, walkers and all are welcome to join! Our very own beloved mascot, Ramble may even be there to get it started! This event is provided courtesy of a Department of Health grant.
