About the event

Join us for our inagrual run at Seneca Park! We strive to partner with local businesses in order to add value to the race for you. We are focused on ensuring our races are GREEN. We do so in the following ways: We are called The Green Race for a reason. Most simply, because we have the ambition to create ZERO WASTE RACES, that develop awareness of how we can lead more sustainable lives and preserve the environment. So here are a few practical examples of what we do: NO METAL AWARDS! All our medals and trophies are made in Canada from FSC sourced wood and reusable as coffee coasters (or beer coasters for that matter)! NO CUPS! Bring Your Own Cup! GreenRace does not provided disposable cups. NO DISPOSABLE VOUCHERS! Find all partner discount offers and codes on the back of your race bib! NO SAFETY PINS! GreenRace does not use disposable safety pins! All racepacks include a GreenRace running belt (fasten your bib here). NO DISPOSABLE RACEPACKS! Our racepacks are reusable wetsacs for all your soggy post racerunning gear. Also makes a great sealable bag for your muddy trail shoes. NO DISPOSABLE COURSE MARKINGS! We resuse all GreenRace cloth flagging.
