About the event

Last year United Way of Central Kentucky invested over $840,000 in 25 partner agencies with 35 programs that provide opportunities for more people in Hardin, Breckinridge, Grayson, LaRue, and Meade Counties to become self-sufficient. UWCK had a $4.4 million impact on our region by securing grants, mobilizing volunteer resources, receiving in-kind donations, and matching support from funded programs. UWCK provides tools that benefit working families, such as free tax preparation services, financial education workshops, volunteer placement through centralkyserves.org, 8 local United Way Born Learning Academies to improve school readiness, and the FamilyWize prescription discount program. These services alone have returned over $290,000 to our community. There will be a shorter route offered to those who do not want to run the 5K.
