Come "Run The Burn" on the trails of the lush and rugged Tillamook Forest in the Oregon Coast Range mountains. Prepare to be illuminated with brilliant spring foliage, fiddleheads and blossoms, as these courses twist through classic Pacific NW rainforest, across brisk streams and past rumbling waterfalls. This challenging and scenic trail race weekend offers a 50 miler on Saturday, April 29, 2017, a 50K on Sunday, April 30, 2017, and an epic 50/50 double!
In an effort to minimize waste, both races will be cupless! You can order a custom branded reusable cup during registration.
To sign up for the 50/50, you must register for both races, as there is no 50/50 category.
The 50 Miler is a challenging, beautiful course run on 40 miles of twisting forested single-track trail and 10 miles of scenic forest/jeep road. Runners will cross many small streams, enjoy multiple waterfalls, cruise along dozens of miles of creekside trail and soak in some very scenic territorial views. The trails are generally hilly and soft with great footing, although there are some technical sections with rocks and roots, occasional mud after rains and some long climbs and downhills. Expect ~9300 ft. of ascent and ~9300 ft. of descent.
