Table Rock Trail Challenge

6105 E Seneca Turnpike

Jamesville, NY Last Man Standing

This Event Took Place Sun. Jun 25, 2017

About

This will serve as the 7th running of the Table Rock Trail Challenge and will be presented this year as part of the Salt city Trail Series by Reluctant Runner Racing. Once again, the race will be returning to the enchanting trails of Clark Reservation State Park.

Whether you're new to trail running, a seasoned vet or new to the Last Person Standing format, you WILL be challenged. You'll battle the trail, other runners, and your own ego in deciding which strategy will be best for you to go as many miles as you have to in order to win!

The race will be held on an approximately 1.2-mile loop course on crushed gravel, slick table rock, and some dirt trails with rocks and roots.

The Salt City Trail Series of races and Reluctant Runner Racing both strongly believe in supporting the local trail community by providing a mix of trail racing formats and opportunities for new and old trail runners to test their limits. If this format isn't for you, come on out to volunteer to support your fellow runners and have some fun along the way!

Table Rock Trail Challenge is a USATF-sanctioned event.

Race Details

This Last Person Standing format will follow closely to this sequence. Although, depending on a number of factors, the Race Director reserves the right to make adjustments as needed.

- The Race will start on the Table Rock Course for the first 10 laps. After each successive lap from 1 to 10, the clock will be reduced by 1 minute.
- Beginning with Lap #11 the race will shift to the Mildred Faust Course and on Laps 11 thru 15 the clock will be reduced by 30 seconds per lap.
- On Lap #16 thru 21 the clock will be reduced by 15 seconds after each lap.
- Beginning with Lap #22 the clock will remain at 10 minutes per lap until the Last Runner is left standing!

Example of how the winner will be decided:
Lap 25 - 2 runners finish under the cutoff. Runner B finishes before runner A.
Lap 26 - Both runners are OVER the cutoff but Runner A finishes before runner B.

Runner B will be declared the winner because they completed the last official lap in first place.

In another scenario, two runners finish the last lap under the cutoff. Runner A finishes first but decides not to continue. Runner B may choose to continue and if they finish the next lap under the cutoff, they will be the winner. If Runner B finishes the last lap OVER the cutoff then Runner A will be declared the winner because they finished first in the last official lap.
