Imagine a life without food!

That is a reality for many people with Eosinophilic Esophagitis. Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE) is a chronic, allergic inflammatory disease of the esophagus (the tube connecting the mouth to the stomach). It occurs when a type of white blood cell, the eosinophil, accumulates in the esophagus and persists despite acid-blocking medicine. The elevated number of eosinophils cause injury and inflammation to the esophagus. This damage may make eating difficult or uncomfortable, potentially resulting in poor growth, chronic pain, and/or difficulty swallowing.

Gabby was diagnosed with EoE after a colonoscopy and endoscopy with biopsies in January of 2015, just days before her 9th birthday. She had lost 6 pounds and missed 15 days of school in the months prior to diagnosis. Originally, Gabriella suffered from constant abdominal pain and vomiting daily. We were hoping that Gabby's EoE would go into remission with a severely restricted diet and it did, but just for 2 short months. Then the pain and vomiting returned with a vengeance. We hope and pray for a CURE every day!

CURED Foundation

Many days I feel helpless because there's nothing I can do to help Gabby feel better, but I can help raise funds to find a cure.CURED Foundation is a not for profit foundation dedicated to those suffering from Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases (EGID), including eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE), eosinophilic gastritis (EG), eosinophilic colitis (EC) and other eosinophilic disorders. CURED is the only organization that donates 100% of profits to research for a cure.
