Intro
Come spend your Labor Day in the mountains with us! Old Fort, NC is the Gateway to the Blue Ridge Mountains. Camp Grier is a scenic venue with fun and challenging trails nestled at the base of these ancient peaks. Join Vertical Runner and Relentless Running for some late summer fun. Enjoy views of the lake, creeks, and mountains along the course. Invite your family and pig out on some North Carolina barbecue at our post-race lunch. This is a great way to spend a day in the mountains, only 40 minutes from Hickory and 90 minutes from Charlotte. This race is supported by Vertical Runner Black Mountain and Relentless Running Events.
5K Course
The 5K is on on rolling terrain, mostly gravel road and double-track trail. The course has a few hills, but is very manageable even for beginners. Runners will have views of mossy creeks, green horse pasture, and scenic lake.

10K Course
The 10K is a challenging route featuring technical single-track trails and a killer climb! The terrain varies from gravel to rocky trail. The course starts out rolling and fast, but ultimately has runners climbing to the top of the property before a screaming descent to the finish!

Post Race Lunch
Smoked pulled-pork barbecue with all the fixin's will be available for purchase after the race for $10/plate, and we will be pouring beer from Lookout Brewing. Vegan BBQ plates will also be an option, please specify when registering. We hope you'll stay for lunch, and enjoy Camp Grier for a while before heading out.
