Dear Paatuwaqatsi runners and friends,

We are back this year for the Paatuwaquatsi Run! This year's "Water is Life" run event will take place at founder Bucky Preston's residence located in Polacca, Arizona, on the Hopi Reservation. We will return with the spirit of the original Ultra run, the 10 mile, and fun run on Saturday, September 8th, 2018.

The work to raise awareness for the sacredness of water and the preservation of our ancient trails has continued with Preston during this hiatus because as it is essential to the Hopi way of life.

The Paatuwaqatsi Run will take you through trails in the foothills of Polacca and through the valley along the desert sand and brush. Please join us by registering online through UltraSignUpon. Click on the link at Or send an e-mail to and request for a registration form that can be e-mailed to you.

Bucky would like to personally invite all runners back to Hopi and to thank you all for your patience and understanding. We could not do this event without the many volunteers that have helped over the years. If you would like to volunteer please let us know by sending an email to us. We look forward to seeing you again at this year's event. Please continue to follow us on facebook at Paatuwaqatsi Water is Life Run.
