This is a fundraising event for the Beer Army Foundation. The Beer Army Foundation is a 501(C)(3) community outreach outreach organization. Check out our intro video on YouTube or visit our website at BeerArmy.org for more details.
The premise for the Beer Army Centurion Challenge is the culmination of foot races that puts the word ULTRA in Ultra Runner. It is the Special Forces of radical running if you will. Truly testing one's mettle.
You have one year to complete 10 races totalling 317 miles. Specifically, you have to run (in any order) a 5K, 10K, 10 Miler, Half Marathon, 25K, Marathon, 50K, 50 Miler, 100K and 100 Miler. They have to be known distance races, no 12 or 24 hour races are allowed. You choose which contests to race in.
This challenge is open world wide to anybody, anywhere. When you complete your challenge, you'll need to submit a Centurion Challenge resume listing the races you completed in distance order from 100 Miler to 5K. Your resume can be sent to the race director through the contact link on this webpage. At the top of the resume you should list your name, mailing address, phone number and email address. It can be in MS Word, PDF, etc. and should be in the following format for each race listed on your resume:
-Date of race
-Finish time in HH:MM:SS format
-Active hyperlink to your race results
You can substitute a longer race for a shorter race. I.E. You decide to run a Marathon to satisfy your 25K requirement. If you do this, we will then calculate your race pace average and multiply that by the distance of the race you are substituting. So if you run a marathon in 4:08:43, then your average pace would be 9:29:55. We will take that and multiply it by the 25K run distance or 15.53 miles providing a calculated finish time of 2:27:28. Important to note, you can NOT use the same race more than once as a substitution.
Cost to register is $125 through 30 Apr 2018, $150 through 31 Aug 2018 and $175 from 1 Sep through the end of 2018.
IMPORTANT NOTE: YOU HAVE 1 YEAR FROM WHEN YOU REGISTER TO COMPLETE THIS CHALLENGE. I.E. 365 DAYS. DO NOT REGISTER FOR CURRENT YEAR EVENT UNLESS YOU PLAN TO FINISH THE CHALLENGE IN THE SAME YEAR. I.E. IF YOU REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT IN JULY BUT DON'T EXPECT TO COMPLETE THE CHALLENGE UNTIL NEXT SPRING, THEN WAIT UNTIL THE FOLLOWING YEAR TO REGISTER FOR THIS EVENT. WE WILL NOT DEFER ANYONE INTO THE NEXT YEAR EVEN IF IT IS WITHIN THE 365 DAY CHALLENGE WINDOW FOR YOU IF YOU SCREW THIS UP. SO CALL YOUR SHOT CAREFULLY!!!

He completed the entire 317.39 miles of the Centurion Challenge in 51 hours, 27 minutes and 21 seconds in a total of 162 days.
Local time: 7:30 PM
