Information
Fools Gold Run is a fundraiser to support Golden Sierra High School's 2020 Sober Grad Night. All proceeds are donated to the Sober Grad Night. Race on the Olmstead Loop with a start and finish at Northside Elementary School. Same day registration will begin at 8:00 am and check-in time for pre-registered is at 8:30 am. The race will start at 9:00 am. There will be one aid station for the 10 mile run. The 5k and 10 k will have no aid station other than the start and finish.
Registration Fees
Pre-Registration is $30 per participant or a Group of 4 for $100. Register by March 30, 2020 to guarantee a Fools Gold Run t-shirt in your size. Same day registration is $35.
Course Description
Olmstead loop is mostly single track running. The 5k may change to an out and back depending on the weather. If ground water permits it will run by 2 ponds and plan on getting dirty. The 10k is rolling hills and a beautiful view of the American River at one point. Creek crossings, mud crossings and poison oak all around. The 10 miler has it all. Larger creek crossings may be necessary. Some steep ups and downs to knickerbocker creek. You will enjoy the Olmstead loop with extras. Run is rain or shine.
