5 day running camp in the canyons of the Sierra Foothills and peaks of the High Sierra!
Take your training to the next level! Our summer camp will help prepare your body AND mind for your next ultra, FKT, or fast packing adventure. Throughout the week we will be exploring the rocky cliff sides of the Yuba and American Rivers, then reaching for the sky on the High Sierra mountaintops. We will finish camp with an epic 50k in the Sierras that finishes in the famed Squaw Valley. This camp is best suited for athletes able to run 50-60 miles per week.

Amenities

Amenities included with your registration:
-Fully stocked Aid Station on all runs above 10 miles with Gu Roctane as the liquid fuel.
-Knowledgeable coaches certified in wilderness first aid and CPR on all runs
-Free photos and videos documenting your experience
-True NorCal style glamping with Safari tents so that each individual has their own unique space. (We also cater to couples)
-Organic whole foods all week. Northern California is America's Farm to Fork Capital so we wouldn't have it any other way!
*We cater to folks with all dietary needs including vegetarian, vegan, raw, paleo, etc.
-Full access to trails on our 40 acre site with it's own mountain.
-Laundry Service on Day 4
-All transportation during camp, including shuttles to and from the airport and also shuttles to and from historic Nevada City at the end of each day
-The mother of all finishing parties on the shores of Lake Tahoe after our final run. Food, beer, and wine provided.
-The Mountain Running Center Swag Bag!

Itinerary

Day 1

Welcome to NorCal! Get settled in, enjoy our trails, and set intention for the week ahead.

Arrive at Sacramento International Airport
Shuttle to MRC base camp
Meet, Greet, and Get Comfy
Shakeout Runs/free use of MRC trails

Start of camp meeting, intention setting

Day 2

Today is the day rubber hits dirt. We will be running two of California's most famed and gorgeous river canyons. We will be tiptoeing along cliff sides, getting into some extended climbs/descents, and trying to prevent total scenery overload!

Day 3

This is the day we start to really reach for the sky! We will be heading up into the high country and climbing the stairway to heaven without a Zeppelin. This is going to be epic!

Day 4

Today is all about rest, recovery, and fun in the sun! We will have yoga, open shakeout run time, and a beach day at Collins Lake lined up. After we have had our fill of the lake, we will be moving the MRC operation up to the high country camp to prepare for the big day ahead!

Day 5

Today is the big day! We will be running a 50k along the spine of the Sierras, hitting summits along the way with views of Lake Tahoe, the High Sierra, the coastal range, and everything in between. We will finish with a descent into the famed Squaw Valley and a celebratory party on the shores of Lake Tahoe. This will be a day you will never forget!
