The Chestnut Hill Farm Trail Run is part of the Barn to Run Trail Race Series and is Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Chestnut Hill Farm in Southborough, MA. This event includes 3.4, 5 and 6.6 mile trail races that take runners along the trails of Chestnut Hill Farm and Beals Reserve. These starts of these three races will be staggered with the 6.6 mile starting at 9am followed by the 5 miler about 10 minutes later and the 3.4 mile race about 10 minutes after that.
The 0.25 mile Running with the Goats fun run will start at 11am.
The Chestnut Hill Farm Trail Run a production of Sun Multisport Events in partnership and cooperation with Chestnut Hill Farm, the Trustees of the Reservations, the Southborough Open Lands Foundation and the Southborough Trails Committee. A portion of each race entry will be donated to the Trustees.
* 7:30am: Packet pick-up at Chestnut Hill Farm
* 9:00am: Start of the 6.6 mile race
* 9:10am (est): Start of the 5.0 mile race
* 9:20am (est): Start of the 3.4 mile race
* 10:30am: Awards ceremony for the 3.4, 5 and 6.6 mile race
* 11:00am: Running of the Goats (0.25 mile run run)
The 3.4 run starts and ends at Chestnut Hill Farm. About 0.25 miles into the course, runners will cross into Beals Reserve and run a loop that is about 1 mile long. Runners will then return to the grounds of the farm for the remaining mileage. The last 0.25 mile is a straight, flat grassy path that goes directly between farm fields (great for spectating!).
The 5 mile race follows the same course as the 3.4 miler up until about the 3 mile mark at which point runners will be directed to complete a second loop that is on the Chestnut Hill Farm property.
The 6.6 mile race is the same as the 5 mile race with an additional 1.6 mile out and back loop (not featured in the 3.4 or 5 mile courses)
