About the race:
The course will be 75% singletrack and 25% dirt/gravel service roads, with an ass kicking amount of elevation. Last year’s course boasted >6k of elevation over the 50k. We re-worked the course a bit this year, and were rewarded with a little extra elevation (yay!). This year's 50k will take runners just shy of 7k of vert. The summit of Green Mountain will offer some epic views of the Olympic and Cascade mountain ranges for runners of both distances. Our 50k runners will climb Turtle Rock twice again this year, and revisit “double bird” and “your mom.” The course will be well-marked again with surveyor's ribbon and bright yellow signs at critical intersections.
Expect good food, friendly faces, and lots of shenanigans. This is a trail race organized by trail runners - and boy do we take food seriously. Chips, quesadillas, guacamole, watermelon, and a whole assortment of candy/fruits and sugary goodness await you. Keep in mind that this is a cupless race, so don’t forget to bring a handheld or hydration bladder to fill up!
Camping at Green Mountain Horse Camp will be available this weekend, from Friday thru Sunday. The afterparty is worth it to stay up there post-race! There are vault toilets available, but no potable water or showers, so make sure to bring your own.
Bib Transfers / Changing Distances:
We will allow bib transfers and changing race distances, but you must complete this on your own and prior to the week before the race. Please check the race Facebook page and/or race website comment sections to find someone to buy your bib. Refunds are not available.
Start Time and Cutoffs
Both 25k and 50k races start at 8am. The 50k runners will have 10 hours to finish the course.
