Dorset Hollow Road Race
Chartered in 1761, Dorset is one of Vermont's greatest treasures! Enjoy quintessential Vermont scenery as you run through beautiful Dorset Hollow along the banks of the Mettawee River. Free participant photos, tech tees and unique finishers medals for all distances! Mostly packed dirt roads with some pavement.
Walkers are welcome! There will be a 2-hour cutoff for both distances, making the 5k especially walker-friendly!
A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Second Chance Animal Shelter. Stick around after the race for the raffle to benefit the Second Chance Animal Shelter, with great local prizes courtesy of our awesome sponsors!

5k
The 5k is a fast point-to-point along the back half of the 10k loop featuring over 300' of net downhill. Don't forget to enjoy the scenery as you fly by!

Parking and Shuttle
Shuttle is included in registration. Both 5k and 10k courses feature a remote start. The 10k start is roughly flat and ~.8 miles from the shuttle pickup, for those who prefer to walk or jog a warm-up rather than take the bus. Parking is at the Long Trail School, in Dorset, Vermont.
***SHUTTLES WILL LEAVE PROMPTLY AT 7:30!!!***
Do. Not. miss the shuttle. BOTH Upper and Lower Hollow roads will be closed prior to the start. Be ready to display your bib and bring what you will need for the race. There will be a sweat drop box and garbage at the 5k corral. However, if you drop it, you are donating it! Repeat--only drop stuff you don't plan to see again!
***YOU CAN NOT DRIVE TO THE 5k START!!! YOU MUST TAKE THE SHUTTLE!!!***
Shuttles are awesome! Sit down for a minute before the race, make some new friends, and let us drive! You can enjoy a beautiful preview of part of the course while you think about all the goodies you can pick up after the race at the Dorset Farmer's Market! There will be portables and water fill available at the 5k start.
