Join us in Big Bear to Toast to the New Year at Sugarloaf Mountain - brought to you by Team Kodiak! Enjoy the outdoors and celebrate. We'll have heated tents at the Start/Finish to keep you warm and toasty before and after your jaunt up and down. Inside the tents, enjoy the festivities with music, bubbly adult beverages, hot beverages, beer from our friends at Stumblefoot Brewing, light snacks, and new years cheer.

This event is family friendly! We'll have hot cocoa and sparkling cider for a midnight toast.

We've got 3 distances to choose from - 5K, 10K, and the 11.8 mile round trip to the peak and back. Each distance will go UP and then back DOWN!

$40 for adults, $30 for 'Kids' under 21.
Family of 2 adults+all your kids = $100.

Your entry includes: Toast to the Loaf swag item; fun, festively decorated course; 1 champagne drink ticket, 1 hot beverage drink ticket, 1 entry for door prize, and access to our heated party tents, and lots of Stumblefoot beer.

DOOR PRIZES - Everyone will be entered to win door prizes! We have lots of swag to giveaway including swag from Stumblefoot Brewing and goodr sunglasses, buffs, socks, magazine subscriptions, shirts, and jackets. The Grand Prize is a free entry into the 2019 Kodiak Ultra Marathons (any distance, transfers OK only to other Toast to the Loaf participants).

In the event of snow (deep snow), we will have a modified course and tons of fun!

Note - Results will not be loaded into Ultrasignup. This is a fun run only.

ALL are welcome! Join us just for the Party!

Registration is open to EVERYONE! Hiking or Running is OPTIONAL! If you're not participating in the 'Challenge' we'll have plenty of festivities and cheer to occupy you while the challengers are being challenged. Entry fee to the event is the same and everyone will need to register in advance or pay at the door. Online registration by December 29th is recommended and appreciated. Add $10 each at the door.

To the Summit...

* If you plan to summit Sugarloaf Mountain and think it will take you longer than 4 hours, we suggest you start your trek early - you don't want to miss the party at the bottom! Average round trip hiking time is 4 hours in good, clear conditions.
There WILL be snow at the higher elevations and some kind of traction device MUST be used at the higher elevations. (MicroSpikes, Ice Spikes, Yak Trax, snowshoes, etc.)

BRING A HEADLAMP or FLASHLIGHT!
