New RDs and a brand new course change are going to make this years Cottonmouth 100 the best one yet! Come out and run the event that made The Florida Trail System one of the most sought after destinations for trail running, especially 100 miles!
Local time: 12:47 AM
This year the course will start at Bear Lake campground and go North for approximately 25 miles all the way to the Alabama/Florida State line where runners will turn around and head back to the campground! It’ll be one ‘out and back’ for the 50 miler and two for the 100 miler! It’s lots of single-track trail with amazing scenery and Florida wildlife!
There’s a very generous time limit of 30 hours for the 100 miler and 15 hours for the 50!
Each 50 mile finisher will receive a custom made finishers award and top 3 male and female finishers will receive a special award!
Each 100 mile finisher will receive the much coveted cottonmouth buckle and top three male and female will receive a special award!
There will be 5-6 aid stations located 4-7 miles apart with every other one containing only water/tailwind/gatorade so be prepared to carry what you need for these distances! All runners must carry a water bottle or hydration pack at all times while on the course. The food Aid stations will have basic aid station food and drink.
Packet pickup will be at the Bear Bait campground pavilion on November 22, 2019 starting at 3pm until 7pm. There will also be packet pickup available race day morning starting at 6am to 7am.
Don’t sleep on this one, limited spots available this year due to permits so get in while you can!
