Pier 2 Pier 200K

1 Washington Ave

Miami Beach, FL 200K

This Event Took Place Sat. Jan 11, 2020

A 200km Gulf to Ocean Endurance Run Across Florida

Run across the state of Florida through the historical scenic byways of the Everglades.

At this time, the event is Support Crew Only.

Endurance Run starts at the Miami South Pointe Pier following the Tamiami Trail (Route 41) running on sidewalks, paved bike trails, dirt roads, trail and wide open road shoulders until you reach Naples finishing on the Naples Fishing Pier.
All finishers who complete the race under the 40 hours cutoff will receive a custom Pier 2 Pier 200K Belt Buckle.

Event is limited to 25 runners. This is to minimize waste and impact on National Park portion of the course, reduce traffic congestion, to keep the noise level down in private residential areas and the overall safety of all runners and crew.

Event is insured by RRCA (Road Runners Club of America).

COVID-19 Update

An important update for Pier 2 Pier 200K regrading the start and finish location:

As of October 12, 2020, Miami-Dade County has updated their Emergency order 27-20 which continues to enforce the curfew hours where from 12:00am - 6:00am "no person shall make use of any street or sidewalk for any purpose, except police, fire rescue, first responder, medical, health care, media, and utility repair service personnel."

It is unknown when this curfew will be lifted as it has been in placed since July.

Because if this uncertainty, Pier 2 Pier will be reversing the direction of the course this year to start at 7:00am at the South Pointe Pier in Miami Beach and ending in the Naples Pier. Dates have not changed and is still January 23rd, 2021.

I understand that this may affect travel plans for some runners and crew so for those unable to attend to the start in Miami, I will offer a refund or deferral if you prefer.

Prerace briefing will be virtual. This will be a short pre-recorded video sent out before race day.

Shirts, Bib and other items will be mailed out a month before race day. Any last minute registrations can pickup race morning. We are trying to make every effort contactless as possible.

This event is Support Crew Only. There will be only ZERO aid stations, only checkpoints. Volunteers may have aid at these locations but do not rely on these stops for support. You will NOT be allowed to race if you do not have a crew.

Part of the course are in remote places with no cellular service. Having a crew is your first line of safety in case of an emergency.

Course Terrain

Course is on sidewalks, paved bike trails, dirt roads, trail, manicured grass and wide open road shoulders.

WARNING: 40% of the course are on road shoulders. Shoulders are plenty wide with runnable grass sections and there is minimal traffic going through 41, however if you are not comfortable running on the shoulder of the road, this race is NOT for you.

Route 41 gets pitch dark at sundown. This is why we have the race every full moon.

All runners are required to wear 360 degrees of reflective material vest and two blinky light on the front and rear.

Highly recommend to also bring a headlamp (or two) or a handheld flashlight.
