Race Information
You have one year to complete 10 races totalling 317 miles. Specifically, you have to run (in any order) a 5K, 10K, 10 Miler, Half Marathon, 25K, Marathon, 50K, 50 Miler, 100K and 100 Miler. They have to be known distance races, no 12 or 24 hour races are allowed. Fat ass and virtual races are accepted however, there needs to be a minimum of 3 runners (2 including yourself) finishing the race. In these cases, Strava, Garmin, GPX, etc. data may be requested.
You choose which contests to race in. This challenge is open world wide to anybody, anywhere. When you complete your challenge, you'll need to submit a Centurion Challenge resume listing the races you completed in distance order from 100 Miler to 5K. Your resume can be sent to the race director through the contact link on this web page. At the top of the resume you should list your last name, first name, age, gender, mailing address (to include City and State), phone number and email address. Your resume should also have active hyperlinks to your individual race results. It can be in MS Word, PDF, etc. and should be in the following format for each race listed on your resume:
-Distance, -Date of race, -Race name, -Finish time in HH:MM:SS format, -Active hyperlink to your race results
You can substitute a longer race for a shorter race. I.E. You decide to run a Marathon to satisfy your 25K requirement. If you do this, you will then calculate your race pace average and multiply that by the distance of the race you are substituting. So if you run a marathon in 4:08:43, then your average pace would be 9:29:55. You will take that and multiply it by the 25K run distance or 15.53 miles providing a calculated finish time of 2:27:28. Important to note, you can NOT use the same race more than once as a substitution.
IMPORTANT - At the bottom of your resume, you need to annotate the total aggregate time it took you to run all the races. In addition, you need to submit cumulative time it took you to finish the challenge. I.E. The first race you run starts your 1 year clock to get the Centurion Challenge done. That first race would be day one. The last race you do to complete the challenge, you would take that date when you crossed the finish line, look at a calendar and add up all the days it took you to complete the challenge.
