RD Introductions

I am planning all sorts of great things for the Arrowhead Endurance Run on October 12th!
But I thought I would introduce myself and some of the other staff. I am Laura Eriks. I am the Race Director.

I have been racing ultras since 2009.
I have completed almost 100 ultra distance races. And 19 one hundred mile races. Some of my favorites are:
Black Hills 100, 2011 2nd place female
Hawk 100, 2015 3rd place female
5 time finisher of Arkansas Traveler
Earned my 500 mile jacket at the Howard Aslinger 24hour event.
I have also finished dead last at races and have several DNF's to my name. The magic is in the journey not the destination.

The co-RD Michael Eriks is also a ultra runner and 50 states finisher. He has finished several 100 mile races. And ran across Indiana and biked back. He also was first male and second overall at the Shawnee Hills 100 mile race.

Our 13 year old son Logan finished his first 50k at Pumpkin Holler at the age of nine. He walked the entire race. Since then he has finished several races. Including 2 fifty mile finishes at a Mo'Bell and Howard Aslinger 24 hour. And just a few weeks ago finished the Strolling Jim marathon. He also loves playing Fort Nite. Who knew there could be so much dancing in one game!

We are a family who trains, races and supports each other. We understand the most important person out there is the person racing. And we will take the best care of you at a top notch event. We will treat you like family. Most of our dearest friends were met out on the race course. We are here for you. We want to make this your favorite event. Please don't hesitate to ask a question. Or if you have a special request we will do our very best to make that happen. Looking forward to meeting you all and giving you your finishers award.
Thank you!
Laura, Mike and Logan

Arrowhead Endurance Run is excited to be partnering with Soles4Souls. This initiative collects gently used shoes and repurposes them to be a sustainable income for families living in poverty in developing countries. We will have a donation box at the race. Please consider bringing a used pair of shoes. If you have any questions about this charity organization please ask.
