The 2nd Annual 24 Hour Run Raiser at the Kettering Fairmont track. August 28-29. Runners will have 12 or 24 hours to log the most mileage possible. We will only count mileage completed on the track. This is a chip timed event, so no need to worry about counting your laps.
- Runners who complete 400 laps (100 miles) will receive a Custom RunRaiser 100 Mile Finisher Buckle.
- Runners who complete both the Steel City 12 Hour Fat Azz Race on August 1st (https://www.brunningendurance.com/steel-city-registration) and the Kettering Fairmont Runraiser on August 28th will receive a unique award (The "Steel City Runraiser") for the combined distances of either 100+, 125+ or 150+ miles covered.
An Aid Station will be set up with water, ice, and simple snacks, but please bring your own set up if you have specific dietary needs. The outside two lanes of the track will be reserved for runners to set up their supplies. If you bring a fold out table, please bring something to secure the table to the chain link fence, in case of a random gust of wind. There will be tents or 'camps' permitted on the turf field inside of the track. There will be bathroom facilities located immediately off of the track, open at all times.
24 Hour Runners will start at 9pm on Friday night and finish Saturday night at 9pm. 12 Hour Runners will finish at 9am Saturday morning. The race will be in the dark from 10pm - sunrise on Friday night. You will want to have a headlamp or flashlight to get the race started. We will have the stadium lights on to finish the race on Saturday night.
This is a limited thrills event as we are focusing any and all profits to the Spirit Chain Fundraiser as well as supporting the building of a school in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Please consider contributing more than the registration fee either by donating online or bringing a cash donation to the event. There will be a secure location for any race day donations. Thank you and best of luck!
