Tailwind Nutrition and water will be provided. We will also have the “usual” ultra needs: ice, gels, sunblock, pretzels, potato chips, M&M’s, etc. At night we will have chicken flavored ramen soup and boiled potatoes with salt. Vaseline and band aids, too. All the cool essentials to keep you moving forward!!

Packet Pick Up
Packet Pick Up will be on Friday, June 17th at 4:00pm to 7:00pm OR Saturday (race day) morning, June 18th at 6:00am to 6:30am. Both Packet Pick Up options will be at the Plainfield South track.
Gates to the track will open at 5:45am on race day morning. The race will begin at 7:00am (CST) sharp.
Welcome to the 2nd Annual C.R.C Summer Solstice 24 Hour Run / Relay at Plainfield South High School on June 18, 2022 (7:00am start) to June 19, 2022 (7:00am finish).
We now have 4 divisions to choose from:
Individual (ONE Person) Division,
2 Person Relay Team Division,
4 Person Relay Team Division,
8 Person Relay Team Division (NEW this year).
The 24 Hour Race will be completely ran on a 400 meter track located at Plainfield South High School - 7800 Caton Farm Road, Plainfield, IL 60586. Our track is USATF Certified - IL19018NM. Any questions, please contact Jason Crowe at firstname.lastname@example.org
Overnight Race Camping
You and your team / race crew are welcome set up a tent inside the stadium during the 24 hour race. Please limit each team / crew to one tent per team. We recommend bring sandbags or weights to keep your tent down on our field turf. You are also welcome to set up a tent outside of our stadium on the grass.
We are on a public school campus, therefore all alcohol beverages, tobacco products and all illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
Expect the possibility of HOT and HUMID conditions. Please be prepared for hot, exposed conditions during the day. We will have ice and water but highly recommend bring clothing and products that protect you from the sun.
In the event of Lighting and Thunderstorms WE WILL POSTPONE THE RACE and move everyone into our Indoor Fieldhouse. If and when the storms then clear up, we would move the race back to the outdoor 400 meter track.
We will do our best to complete the 24 hours of racing, but will completely end the race by Sunday at 12 noon regardless of the total hours of racing.
In a continued effort to help our environment, our 24 hour race will be cupless. Please bring your own water bottles or cup to carry or leave at our aid station tables. We will have water and TAILWIND NUTRITION drink at the aid station for you and/or your team to refill throughout the race. Thank you for helping us in our efforts by keeping our event green.
