The Underground Circus 100
The Underground Circus 100 is an excellent start to running ultra trail events. You have the option to run on the sidelines of the trail path or directly on the asphalt. The course is a five-mile out, five-mile in trail and pavement race. It is a straight shot out and back, there is no chance of you getting lost. The RD rides bike to lead runners onto the trail and away you go. It is located around twenty-minutes to the nearest airport, along with being fairly close to nearby hotels and restaurants. This race is a no specific DNF event. You get credit for every mile ran. We function on the honor system, however, the RD has the final say on DQ. No cutting the course, each runner must cross the start/finish line or that lap will not be counted.
Race Weekend Schedule
Packet pick up and bib distribution will be at 3:15am on Saturday May 29th for every distance. There are no check point cut-offs. You have the entire time on the clock to run your race. If you decide to drop from the race while running, please attempt to get back to the start-finish or an aid station, otherwise it’s near impossible to determine where you are on the trail as certain spots lose reception. We're here to help and ensure you're safe at the end of the day! Happy running!

Will there be aid stations?Yes! There will be two aid stations throughout the length of the course; at the starting line and another at the halfway point. Both stations will have the essentials for you to keep moving without fail, especially things to keep you hydrated and well-energized. If there are any dietary restrictions or things of that nature that you have, please contact the race director so she can set accommodations for that. Will there be a prize?Yes! It is set to have a 100 MILE customized brass buckle for the finishers of that distance. Along with that, finishers of the fifty mile and under distances will receive awards for those sectors. Every runner will receive race souvenirs. Where is it located? The race is hosted at The Silver Comet Trail, located in Smyrna, Georgia. Each distance begins at 4 AM. Are there any places to park my van/camper/RV? Yes and no. You may bring your van, camper, or rv, but there won't be any electrical outlets to plug them in if you need those. Do volunteers receive any benefits? Yes! Volunteers receive race credits for the current year they are helping at. If the volunteer completes a full 12 hour shift at the current race, they will receive free entry to the race for the following year! What is the refund policy?There are no refunds for this race. Any remaining proceed that is received will always be donated to the homeless communities around the city. However, if need be, you can transfer your distance to a shorter one for the current race year. We do not allow for holding your place for the following year if you choose to not run this year, though.
