Watter You Waiting For?

After several years of hosting the area’s premiere 5K/10K trail race, Test The Watters is going ultra in 2020 with the addition of 50K and 25K distances. The gorgeous Watters Smith Memorial State Park in Lost Creek, West Virginia, is home to some of the region's top single track running and mountain bike trails. Fill your thirst for ultra while getting a taste of pioneer history – log cabins, frontier homes, aging barns, and mystic wells. Come Test the Watters!

Proceeds from this event benefit United Way of Harrison County WV. Check out our website at www.testthewatters.com.

Single Track Delight!

The course winds through mostly wooded, single track trails of the idyllic Watters Smith State Park. Several miles low-technical trails are great for beginners yet still challenging for experts due to their rolling nature and several short, steep climbs. In dry periods road shoes are suitable on this course.

All races start and finish at the Watters Smith Main Pavilion. The 25K race is one single loop traversing most of the Park’s formal trail system, plus a few miles of primitive trails in an undeveloped section of the Park. 50K runners make two loops. Course maps are posted on the event website (www.testthewatters.com). The 10K/5K is the traditional Test The Watters course using the Fawn, Black Cherry, White Oak, Rachel Hershey, Trick Track Trek, and Dogwood Trails.
