A GEM OF A RACE!
SADLY we will have to postpone our race until things settle down a bit. Our race staff has a meeting on April 16th to see if we can make a new date for Fall. Runner safety is our number one concern! Those who have already registered, THANK YOU, you will be able to have entry to the Fall race if/when it happens or we will gladly give you a refund. Expect communication from us on April 16th. Thank you for your patience as we want to make this a very special event. Talk soon y'all.

I didn't think there was ANYWAY that I would ever be a race director again! That was until my good friends at Bear Lake Reserve asked me to design a race on their amazing property. I have to admit, I was skeptical because this was my family's "secret getaway" just over an hour outside of Asheville, NC. Ultimately, I decided it would be way more fun to share this place with my running friends than it would be to be selfish! With all this said, I welcome all runners to come to my favorite mountain retreat in Western North Carolina on Saturday, May 16th 2020. The 10K will start at 9:30 AM and the Kid's 1/2 Mile Fun Run starts at 11:30 AM. Come join the fun, you won't regret it.

This is not your Grandma’s 10K although I know a few Grandma’s that could crush this route! This is not a 10K race, it’s a 10K challenge. With over 1,100 feet of vertical gain and more than 1,000 feet of vertical decent, this is truly a mountain run! You will have to earn your finish pottery and cold beer! Come join the Bear Lake Charity Mountain Run 10K Team and stick around after the run to enjoy all the amenities that make Bear Lake Reserve special. After the run, runners can rent boats and SUP boards to explore the lake. Our whole team invites you to this special race that will surely become a regional favorite! Come run with the bears on Saturday, May 16th, but don’t say we didn’t warn you about the course being difficult. Do you have it in you?
