Could you be a Golden Hawk?
The Golden Hawk Endurance Challenge Slam challenges runners to run ESR -- Every Single Race -- all eight of them, on the Trail Hawks calendar, from Night Hawk to Skyline Shuffle. In races with multiple distances, you can choose any distance. The key is ESR.
To complete the Golden Hawk, you must also volunteer at a local trail running event. This could mean you man an aid station at a race, participate in a trail work day, or whatever else you can think of. The goal is not for this to be onerous -- no minimum number of hours, all on the honor system -- just at some point you have to give a few hours back in the spirit of kindness to life and land.
Golden Hawk candidates will be inducted at the Night Hawk on June 24, 2023 with an "Imperious Rex" ceremony. Finishers will get their swag and be honored at post-race celebration following the Skyline Shuffle on May 5, 2024.
Our races can be found at trailhawks.com, but here's the list of the 2022 Golden Hawk races and dates. At the end of each race, if you've notched a "finish" per that race's distances and rules, you survive and advance to the next round.

Entry Fees and Swag
The Golden Hawk entry fee is $95 ($85 for dues-paying Trail Hawks, contact event director Steve Crutchfield for the discount code). You must still pay the entry fees for each race, although we will be working with race directors for special Golden Hawk discounts where possible.
Event's current local time: 12:13 PM CT
Your Golden Hawk entry fee covers a Golden Hawk 2023 long sleeve tech shirt for all entrants, and a personalized hand-thrown pottery mug for all finishers. It will also include a TBD piece of Golden Hawk apparel for finishers.
Your total miles will be included on the finisher's award! If you run the max distances in each race, for instance, you are a finisher "Golden Hawk 194.4 Mi." Minimum distances -- you are "Golden Hawk 47.7 Mi." We'll track what you do throughout the year and put that number, with your name on the finisher's swag.
Can you run ESR? If so, you could be a GOLDEN HAWK!
