Registration is currently on hold for the 2020 Devil on the Divide until we get more direction from Clear Creek County, the Town of Empire and the US Forest Service. The safety of runners, volunteers and the community are the top priority and there are still so many uncertainties at this time. Feel free to add your name to the waitlist. If the race is a go for 2020, and if the permitting agencies allow the original number of participants, registration will open back up and those on the waitlist will be invited to register.
Devil on the Divide 50K and 22K
Local time: 2:40 PM
Saturday, September 12, 2020
We are pleased to present one of the most beautiful and challenging trail races in the state of Colorado with breathtaking (literally and figuratively) views of Clear Creek County and the Continental Divide. Participants will reach a top altitude over 13,000 feet with over 6,500 feet of climbing for the 50K course and 3,400 feet of elevation gain for the 22K. 100% of the point-to-point courses are dirt, with the majority of each course being single track trail.
Due to the difficulty and remoteness of this race, prior ultra running experience is REQUIRED for 50K participants and trail running experience at high altitude is highly recommended for 22K participants. These courses are absolutely stunning and equally challenging.
Cut-off times are enforced for both options.
The website, www.devilonthedivideultra.com is still being updated with 2020 info. See below for important 2020 registration information:
Pricing: 22K and 50K
$80 If space available, registration closes at 11:59pm MST on Wednesday, 9/9/20. There is no race day registration. This event has sold out the past two years. Please register for the distance you intend to run. Finish times will not be given to those participants that register for the 50K and drop at Herman Gulch (the 22K finish)
Refund and Cancellation Policy
Race Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. Exceptions will be made for active duty military deployments, women becoming pregnant after registration and new child additions (birth or adoption by runner or partner) with appropriate notice.
The race director reserves the right to postpone, delay, shorten or even cancel the event due to unforeseeable circumstances that put the participants or volunteers as risk such as severe weather, forest fires, etc. There will be no refunds in the event of race modification or cancellation
Due to the difficulty and remoteness of this race, prior ultra running experience is REQUIRED for 50K participants and trail running experience at high altitude is highly recommended for 22K participants. These courses are absolutely stunning and equally challenging. For those registering for the 50K, previous results will be checked and if results are not listed in ultrasignup, please be prepared to show racing history. We do make exceptions to this rule, but please email (firstname.lastname@example.org) and get approval before registering.
