Summer in the Sierras

Tahoe Mountain Training Camps are coming soon and we are taking reservations
Located in the Tahoe National Forest near Donner Summit, our exclusive mountain focused trail
running camps will combine world class singletrack, elite certified coaches, and secluded private
camps along with the down home hospitality that E3 is known for. World renowned trails like the
PCT to the Palisades Creek that takes you into the North Fork American River,
from Castle Peak to Tinker Knob and beyond. We provide food,
drink, camps, coaches and new challenging trails, while you bring your joy for amazing high
country trails, scenic terrain and a desire to improve your trail running prowess while we offer home
cooked meals and all that you need to make this the best summer camp ever.

What to bring

Running shoes 2 pair
Running pack that will hold enough food and clothing to be out in the mountains for 4+ hour runs with no resupply points.
Bottles or hydration bladder to carry on runs.
A couple changes of running clothes (top, bottom, base layer, socks, cap) that will cover temperatures between 35-80 degrees.
lightweight running jacket (the smallest, lightest one you have) for those days when it's raining, but not cold.
mid/heavy weight running jacket (something that will keep you warm down to about 35 degrees)
lightweight running gloves
lightweight running beanie
Small camera or phone with camera
Preferred gels, bars, blocks or other foods you like to use during runs. We will have a selection of GU and Clif Gels, and Bloks for participants to use during the camp, but if you have specific items you prefer to use while on the go you might want to bring some with you. If your preference is for solid food we will have plenty of food available for you to make a sandwich or snack for the trail.

A change of casual clothing suitable for temps between 35-80 degrees.
A waterproof jacket to wear around the camp..
Personal toiletries. Toothbrush, toothpaste, razors, deodorant, shampoo, etc.
Earplugs if you are a light sleeper (we will try to have extras available, but bring your own if you want to be sure to have a pair).
Camping gear, tent, cot or pad, sleeping bag, headlamp or RV (12 sites)
Mtn Bike, SUP, swim suit or climbing gear as desired

What to expect

Guided runs on varying terrain and distance on a different trail every day
Instruction in trail running form, nutrition, strength and conditioning, run recovery,
To push your limits both physically and mentally and learn how to push yourself further than you thought possible
Delicious and healthy homemade meals prepared by the E3 crew
Private RV and tent camp with folding table, 10x10 ez up, water, power and potties, real bathrooms are below camp at the entrance about 1/4 mile away.
Be prepared for inclement weather
You will cover 45-65 miles and 10-15k in vertical gain.

Extended Camping, bring the family

If you desire to stay at camp longer, we have additional nights stays available. There is so much to explore from Donner Summit to Echo Summit like hiking, biking, swimming, rafting, climbing, fishing and SUP. Come for the training and stay for the summer fun. Options available before check out. $30 per night per camp, bring the family and they can go explore Tahoe while you run!

Covid-19 protocol

We will be operating under the current guidelines as set forth by government health officials. The entire event is outdoors, we will use small groups of 10, self transportation, social distancing, temperature checks daily and other sanitation protocol. We will provide a custom E3 Buff headband-facemask for all. we will send out instructions prior to arrival
