The Berryman Trail is an approximately 26-mile single-track loop through the Mark Twain National Forest. Run two loops for the 50-Mile race, one loop for the Marathon. The total elevation gain/loss is 2500 ft/2500 ft per loop. Plenty of rocks and roots, and at least two opportunities to get your feet wet before and after the Brazil Creek aid station at mile 16 (and mile 42 on 2nd loop). Course crosses many other stream beds that may or may not have water in them depending on recent rainfall.
Aid Stations will be approximately every 5 to 6 miles. Runners will be provided with an adequate supply of water, sports drink, and race day foods.
Primitive camping (no water, pit toilets) is available at the Berryman campground on a first-come, first-serve basis. Spots and parking are limited, but overflow camping is permitted near the shelter, and parking is allowed along one side of the road. Please obey No Parking signs.
