Q50 Races Trails Extravaganza
Welcome! We are using a new race format with 4 separate start times. This has been approved by Louisiana State Parks and will allow for social distancing and local pandemic guidelines.
Local time: 4:45 PM
The Race Site will be at the Bogue Chitto State Park (Franklinton, LA), Meeting Room.
The deadline to switch your mileage up or down is Tuesday, February 2nd at Midnight. There will be NO mileage switching on Race Day and NO Race Day Registrations.
Race Times & Registrations are as follows:
52 & 39 Miles
5:00am-5:45am – Registration
6:00am – Race Starts
6:am-6:45am - Registration
6:45am - Course Instructions
7:00am - Race Starts
7:00am-7:45am – Registration
8:00am – Race Starts
10 & 5 Miles
8:00am-8:45am – Registration
9:00am – Race Starts
We will NOT have social gatherings at the Race Site, which encompasses the Meeting Room. If you are bringing family/friends to support you, please inform them they will NOT be able to wait for you inside the Meeting Room. However, the Park outside grounds are large enough for them to wait for you there.
For Check-In/Registration in the Meeting Room and every time you enter the Meeting Room, every participant must wear a mask and remain 6 ft away from each other. Signs will be posted and social distance markers (Red Tape) will be placed on the floor. If you sit down, socially distanced at a table, you may remove your mask. However, once you get up and move around the room, you must wear your mask.
Enter Meeting Room ONLY to Register, receive your Bib#/pins, Race Swag, purchase Q50 Merchandise, use the restroom & receive your “after race meal”.
At the start of each race, we ask that you line up, socially distanced, according to your “minutes per mile”. 7-8 minute per mile will line up in the front, 9-10 minutes per mile next, and so on down the line. We will NOT micromanage this. This is a courtesy you will be providing to each other.
As our races already have a minimal use of paper & plastic, every participant must supply their own hydration container, and the provided water/SPORTea/Gatorade will ONLY be dispensed by our volunteers. We will have 2 food stations for the ULTRAS, and you are also free to bring your own food, as well as any items particular to your needs. A Finisher Meal will be provided for all participants ONLY.
We will follow ALL Park rules and regulations and encourage you to follow common sense hygiene and to take personal responsibility for your own health/safety concerns and social distancing. IF YOU DON’T FEEL WELL, DON’T COME.
We will be providing RAW POWER FUEL food station at the Finish Line for the ULTRAS, in addition to our usual food station. Please see the attachment for your information.
We are doing our best to provide a safe and fun environment for you to MOVE in a positive and challenging way. Please, let’s continue to extend mutual respect to one another. Please feel free to contact us with any questions, and as always, we thank you for your support. Happy Trails!
