Since this is a "virtual" race there is no cutoff. Please consider the time it will take for you to complete the three trails and two drives! Sunset is 7:05pm on March 27th.
50k time estimate - running time + drive time and transition
9 min/mile - 4:39 + 1:40 min = 6hr 19min
10 min/mile - 5:10 + 1:40 = 6hr 50min
11 min/mile - 5:41 + 1:40 = 7hr 21min
12 min/mile - 6:12 + 1:40 = 7hr 52min
13 min/mile - 6:43 + 1:40 = 8hr 23min
14 min/mile - 7:14 + 1:40 = 8hr 54min
15 min/mile - 7:46 + 1:40 = 9hr 26min
16 min/mile - 8:17 + 1:40 = 9hr 57min
17 min/mile - 8:48 + 1:40 = 10hr 28min
18 min/mile - 9:19 + 1:40 = 10hr 59min
19 min/mile - 9:50 + 1:40 = 11hr 30min
9 min/mile - 2:24 + 1:40 = 4hr 04min
10 min/mile - 2:40 + 1:40 = 4hr 20min
11 min/mile - 2:56 + 1:40 = 4hr 36min
12 min/mile - 3:12 + 1:40 = 4hr 52min
13 min/mile - 3:28 + 1:40 = 5hr 8min
14 min/mile - 3:44 + 1:40 = 5hr 24min
15 min/mile - 4:00 + 1:40 = 5hr 20min
16 min/mile - 4:16 + 1:40 = 5hr 56min
17 min/mile - 4:32 + 1:40 = 6hr 12min
18 min/mile - 4:48 + 1:40 = 6hr 28min
19 min/mile - 5:04 + 1:40 = 6hr 44min
Due to Covid19 we will have staggered start times on the morning of March 27th. You will receive an email with your suggested start time. You can also start early prior to 7:00am. This event is set up so you can participate virtually if you wish. You are welcome to take on the 3 Park Challenge any time during March if you wish to avoid running on Saturday March 27th.
Please try to avoid gathering in large groups to minimize exposure to other humans. Please wear a mask when approaching others.
To minimize contact with others this is a self supported race. You will have two hard stops (end of Montgomery Bell trail and end of Beaman Park trail) which are opportunities for you to eat, change clothing, apply Squirrel's Nut Butter, go get a cheeseburger, or do whatever else it is you wish to do. Let's be safe out there!
The course is set up to showcase three parks in the greater Nashville area. There are two drives which connect the parks and will split the running up between parks. These drives are a great opportunity to use as self supported rehydration, food consumption, and change of clothing.
Local time: 1:40 AM
Drive time will not be included in the overall time spent on the trails.
Each park has loop trails which will be added together at the end of the day to help you complete your distance of 50k or 25k. Runners are encouraged to be familiar with the trails prior to race day. Trails will not be marked.
There will be creek crossings and rocky terrain with a fair amount of elevation gain. The 50k contains approximately 5,000 ft of elevation and the 25k has around 2,500 ft of elevation gain.
