Revolution Running is excited to present the fifth annual All Comers track event THE STINGER. We moved the race last year to Strong Rock Christian School as a last minute move to be able to hold the race due to issues arising from COVID-19 and we have decided to continue to hold the race at Strong Rock for 2021 as well. Strong Rock has a brand new rubberized track and a beautiful stadium. This is a timed event with 6, 12, and 24 hour options that will be held on an outdoor 400 meter USATF certified RUBBERIZED track. We received our course certification and it has been added to the database with course ID GA20048WC. The course measures at .3984 km. If you think you have that special kind of crazy to run around in circles for hours then come out and see if you can handle THE STINGER. All races will begin at 8 AM. The 12 hour will have the option to begin at 8 AM or 8 PM. The 6 hour will have the option for Sat at 8 AM, 2 PM, 8 PM or Sunday at 2 am. You will choose which time at checkout.
You and your crew are invited to camp out in the infield and set up your own aid/crew station. We will also have an aid station with the usual aid station food and drink as well as a grill for burgers and hot dogs, or whatever else we get a request for. The stadium bathrooms will be open and we will have porta-potties on the outside lanes to limit any extra distance.
Due to limited space on the track and USATF rules no pacers will be allowed. We will change directions every 4 hours. .
We will have a buckle for all who complete 100 miles. Check out the pictures above for the design. Prize for top 3 male and female in each event will be a unique flask! Awards will be mailed out after the event. All participants will receive a hoodie. ****HOODIE DEADLINE IS OCT 29. IF YOU REGISTER AFTER THIS DATE YOU WILL NOT BE GUARANTEED A HOODIE****
Race proceeds will benefit the Strong Rock Christian School Cross Country team!!!<
This race is 30 minutes from Hartsfield International Airport (Atlanta). The best local hotels will be just 10 minutes away in Locust Grove or McDonough, GA.
