Welcome to the 2nd Annual Cooter Creek 50 Mile Trail Run!
This event is a footrace along two sections of the Palmetto Trail; The Awendaw Passage and the Swamp Fox Passage. At its longest, the course for this event is 52.69 miles of single track trail.
The event traverses through the heart of the Francis Marion National Forest as well as along Awendaw Creek
The format for this event is a straight shot down the trail from the Hwy 52 Trail Head in Moncks Corner to the Finish Line, 52ish miles away at Buck Hall Recreation Area.
Once finished, plan to hangout Saturday night to listen to the live music, eat great food and consume beverages.
This event will consist of both water stops as well as occupied locations that are stocked with food.
Water Stop: Cane Gully Road Crossing, roughly, mile 7
Aid Station: Witherbee Road Crossing, roughly mile 12
Water Stop: Witherbee Ranger Station, roughly mile 17
Aid Station: Irishtown Road Crossing, roughly mile 25
Water Stop: Dog Swamp Road Crossing, roughly mile 32
Aid Station: Halfway Creek Road Crossing, roughly mile 37
Water Stop: Willow Hall Road Crossing, roughly mile 43
Aid Station: Whilden Road Crossing, roughly mile 46
Finish Line: Party! Roughly mile 52
I will have a check point that will consist of a clipboard with a check in list that you are required to check yourself in each time you go through a water stop. Aid Stations will be occupied and the attendant will check you in. Be sure to have the bib on the front of your shorts or shirt. Not the back.
A link to the MapMyRun web page will be sent to you. It is up to you to figure out how to download this data to your phone or GPS enabled watch. You can use this data to ensure that you are on course and on the trail should you become disoriented or lost.
One week prior to the event or when registration closes, I will send out a participant guide 1 week prior to the event with a course map, rules and locations of water stops, aid stations and port-a-lets.
Event Fees and Restroom Facilities
Cooter Creek 50 Mile Trail Run: $125.00
Camping Friday Night: $25.00
Camping Friday and Saturday Night: $50.00
Restrooms will be placed along the route at convenient locations.
If open, all Participants will have access to restroom/shower facilities at Buck Hall Recreation Area.
Packet Pickup, Day of Registration, Transportation to the Starting Line
Packet pickup will be held at Buck Hall Recreation Area, Friday, April 16th from 2-7PM and morning of the race from 5AM until 5:45 AM.
All participants will board the chartered bus at Buck Hall Recreation Area at 6:00 AM to be transported to the Starting Line. You must have everything with you that you might need for the event! This includes a Headlamp or some means to illuminate the trail should you need to see once the sun sets.
THERE IS NO DAY OF REGISTRATION!
Time Frame, Awards and Stuff
The event Starts at the Trail Head at Hwy 52 on Moncks Corner and ends at Buck Hall Recreation Area in McClellanville, SC.
• 50 Miles (14 Hours to Complete): Starts at 7:00AM on Saturday, April 17, 2021 and finishes up 14 hours later at 9:00 PM.
The top 3 runners, male and female will receive event awards in addition to the Finisher Coin.
ALL participants that COMPLETE the distance in the allotted time frame will be awarded with the Finisher Coin.
Do not get caught littering on the trail. If you do…you are automatically DISQUALIFIED from the event.
Do not argue with event staff! If they feel that you are unable to finish the event due to your physical condition or your pace per mile, you will have your bib removed and you will be pulled from the course. IF you choose to continue, you will be banned from ALL Eagle Endurance, LLC events.
Refund Policy/Cancellation Policy
Under no circumstance will refunds be issued or registrations be transferred to another person.

This event could be cancelled due to Government Shutdown, any and all types of extreme weather conditions or natural disaster. If possible, the event will be scheduled for a later date, as soon as possible. If this is not possible, participants will have the option of deferring their entry to the following year.
