Directions - Update

Please be sure to use the GPS address: Shirley Miller Wildflower Trail, 299 pocket road, Chickamauga ga 30707 to reach the race start line. Due to a road closure, the route takes approximately 10 minutes longer than normal. Google maps has been updated to show the detour and it is clearly marked with signage.

Day-of Schedule

Registration: 6:30 a.m.
Announcements 7:45 a.m.
Start time for 9 miler/First Loop for 27 mile participants: 8 a.m.
Second Loop Begins (27 miler): 10:30 a.m.
Third Loop - RACE - Begins (27 miler): 1 p.m.


Runners for 9 and 27 mile races will start at the same time. 9 mile races will complete the loop as a normal trail race. 27 mile racers can take up to 2 1/2 hours to complete the loop. They will be held at the start line until the 2 1/2 clock counts down. The second loop will be the same -- 2 1/2 hours to complete and runners held until clock counts down. Last loop will start when the second 2 1/2 hour clock ends. The fastest completion time on the 3rd loop will win the race.

Experience 9 or 27 miles of scenic, yet grueling terrain. Only the tough need commit to this event.

Races:
9 miler: Traditional 9 Mile Race, 1 loop course.

27 Miler - Not Your Traditional Race: 18 mile warm up with 9 mile race. Runners participating in the 27 miler will complete two 9 mile loops as warm-up. These loops must be completed in 2.5 hours (150 minutes) or less per loop. All runners will be held until the 2.5 hour clock counts down each time. After 5 hours (and 18 miles), the last 9 mile loop will be a race.

This is the first trail race ever hosted at the Crockford-Pigeon Wildlife Area.

It is a privilege for us to be able to host our event in such an amazing part of our community. As part of our commitment to support the Department of Natural Resources, runners MUST purchase a 1 day fishing license on the day of the race. Depending upon your state of residence, fees range from $5 - $10. REQUIRED: This is essential to your participation in the race. Please bring your license on race day.
We’ll have 2 aid stations along the course.

All runners will receive a Boco hat, swag and nutrition. Top 3 finishers for each race will receive a handmade, commemorative trophy. T-shirts can be purchased at the start line
