*as of 5/1/2021 ODNR is still not issuing approval for permits for in-person racing.
We are being told ODNR will begin approving events for after June 1. We will begin taking registration on a "waitlist only" basis to start off. Runners will not be charged to join the waitlist. Runners can sit on the waitlist in anticipation of the event happening with no-risk. Once we receive our approval we'll invite all the runners on the waitlist to move into the official field of runners.

Ohio's most challenging ultra marathon.
54 Miles | 11,000 Feet of Climbing
50K | 6,500 Feet of Climbing
With over 11,000 feet of elevation gain and mostly one consecutive 50 mile loop the Shawnee 50 will likely be known as Ohio's hardest ultra marathon. In 2021, we have added a 50K distance that will have 6,500 feet of elevation gain. With some of the most secluded wilderness and most rugged terrain in the Midwest, the Shawnee Trail Runs will be a good old fashion pure and authentic ultra marathon. You'll be challenged both physically and mentally by the rugged terrain and remoteness, and we think that's exactly how trail and ultra marathon running should be.
