What
These FREE clinics are for anyone interested in trying out trail running. Whether you are an occasional hiker, an experienced road runner, or looking for a way to connect with nature, these weekly meetings will be used to discuss the basics of trail running and answer questions you have. We will also be walking/running together on trails, with the specific focus on helping YOU improve - all levels of experience are welcome, and no one moves alone. The summer meetings will culminate in the Moscow Mountain Madness 5mile event on September 12, 2021.
Dress as appropriate for the weather and wear running shoes. Trail shoes are not required, but we'll talk about the costs and benefits of them, along with a variety of other gear-related topics. Relatedly, make sure to bring your own water and maybe a snack for your drive home.
Where and When
Thursdays 530pm.
UPDATED: Starting September 8th we will be meeting at the Headwaters parking area. (Type "Headwaters Trailhead" into google maps, which takes you to the parking area. We will proceed from there to the start of Headwaters proper.)
Resources
While you are encouraged to ask any questions you like at the meetings, we will have key topics for discussion each week. These will be announced on the Facebook page for Palouse Road Runners. We will also announce the distance we plan to cover each week. We will be starting around a mile or so, building up to 5miles. Our meetings will be largely adapted to the needs and goals of the participants - we're here to help you on your journey into trail running!
