What is the Leaky Hourglass?
The Leaky Hourglass is a Last Man Standing event with a twist. Every lap you lose a minute from the cutoff. So the first lap you have 60 minutes to complete the 4.167 mile out and back. The following lap you will only have 59 minutes to do so. This will continue until there is only one person capable of completing a lap.
Course Description
Course is a chip and sealed rural highway with rolling hills. Each lap will have roughly 250' of elevation. There will be one manned aid station at the start/finish and one unmanned aid station at the turn around.
Note: This is a not a closed course, meaning there will be traffic. Runners should always run facing traffic, and will be required to have a headlamp and flasher after sunset.
Aid Stations
Start/Finish- Tailwind Endurance Fuel, water, chips, pickles, candy bars, Scooby snacks, and various other hot and cold options throughout the day.
Turnaround- Tailwind Endurance Fuel, water, and various prepackaged snacks in a tote to grab and go.

Dogs
If you have a friendly well behaved dog you want to bring, that's great! Just remember to please keep them leashed, and not to allow them onto the course. There are several houses on the route that have dogs, some are fenced and some are loose. I have never had an incident in all my miles out there, a couple will sometimes bark and follow, but nothing has ever happened.
