Event Overview

Welcome to the Kalapuya Crest, offering a super scenic and diverse 100K point-to-point course and the only race to traverse the crest of the Oregon Cascade Mountains. The course follows old trails within the Oregon Cascades National Recreation Area, stretching across the Pacific Crest from the western Calapooya Range, east to the Central Oregon high desert. This region forms the geographic and cultural boundary of the west, south and eastern regions of Oregon, featuring dozens of miles of singletrack alongside rushing rivers, pristine mountain lakes, alpine meadows, talus gardens and volcanic pinnacles.

Land Acknowledgement: Kalapuya Crest travels on the ancestral lands of the native Kalapuya, Molalla and Klamath peoples, who have occupied and stewarded these lands for countless generations. We respect their right to self-determination and their sacred connection to these lands and waters.

100K Point-to-Point Course

The Kalapuya Crest 100K course offers a 62.9 mile point-to-point traverse of the Pacific Crest of the Oregon Cascade Mountains, with 9700’ of ascent, 6400’ of descent and 7 aid stations. Course surfaces are approximately 58 miles of singletrack trail, 3 miles of intermittent dirt doubletrack, 1 mile of intermittent gravel road and 1 mile of intermittent paved road and bridge connectors. The trails are characterized generally as moderately rolling and very runnable dirt singletrack (and some dirt doubletrack), especially the first 29 miles and the last 18 miles. The Sawtooth Mountain loop section packs some steep mountain vert and rocky, technical trail (but rewards with incredible views up and down the Pacific Crest).
